Significant funding approved to lift Lower Lodge project off the drawing board

The Architectural Heritage Fund has agreed to provide a grant of £164,000 from the Challenge Fund to develop a scheme for restoring Ashton Court Lower Lodge. The project restores this unique historic building as a Gateway Learning Hub – a real life historical resource for the Ashton Park Community, to be shared with local Bristol schools, and the public. architectural heritage fund logo

The AHF funding will be matched by a contribution from the Bristol Buildings Preservation Trust towards the project, of £165,000.

This very generous gift puts the scheme well on the way to being able to achieve its objective of a full restoration of this unique historic building.
