Bristol Opening Doors is an exciting new web resource, Smartphone app and trail map developed by the Architecture Centre, Bristol with support from the Bristol Buildings Preservation Trust, Heritage Lottery Fund and Drake Trust. The resource allows virtual access to some of the city’s most interesting buildings, both historic and contemporary: a true cultural collection for all to discover and enjoy.
Bristol Opening Doors will be launched at a family event tomorrow, Saturday 6 April, in the Architecture Centre from 12 to 4 pm, where all ages can get involved with building-inspired drawing activities and a walking trail treasure hunt. An accompanying exhibition is at the Architecture Centre until 26 May. Visitors are encouraged to share their favourite Bristol buildings and a guided urban walk, online blog, schools workshop and free printed walking trail ensure that everyone can get involved.
